In July of 2012, California State Law AB 341, required all multi-family communities with five (5) or more units to recycle.

The Solid Waste Division offers a recycling program to help you meet this requirement.

We offer blue two (2) cubic yard, three (3) cubic yard, four (4) cubic yard or six (6) cubic yard containers for recyclable materials. We do require boxes to be flattened. There will be no charge at this time for hauling recyclable material.

State Assembly Bill 1826 requires any commercial business that generates two (2) cubic yards or more of disposable trash per week and any multi-family community with five (5) units or more to have an organics program in place.

State Senate Bill 1383 requires that all commercial and multi-family communities have an organics program in place.

We offer 96 gallon containers for organic/food waste materials. We do require that no trash of any kind be placed into these containers. For larger needs we offer roll-off containers but haul charges and disposal fees will apply.

If the above sizes do not meet your needs, please contact our Solid Waste office at (559) 684-4325 for more options for recycling services.

Apartment & Multi-Family Recycling

Does your multi-family property self-haul organic waste to a composting facility? Certain records must be kept of what was taken to the facility, the name of the facility, and weight of what was dropped off. Please click here for Self-Hauler Requirements.
