The Community Tool Shed contains a collection of hand and electric power tools that can be used at no cost by residents, businesses, and community groups of City of Tulare to clean and improve their properties.
Tools available to the community include:

How it works:
To borrow tools, please email communitytoolshed@tulare.ca.gov or call 559-684-4278.
- You must be a resident, community group or business in the City of Tulare to participate in the Community Tool Shed.
- You must provide proof of residency by showing the most recent water bill along with your ID (your ID must match the name on the water bill).
- For community cleanup events, you will need to send and email request providing the location, date of the event, and project details.
- You must read and agree with Tool Shed Guidelines.
- You must read and agree with the proper use of tools and equipment requirement.
- You must sign the agreement including Release and Indemnification before tools can be loaned.
Tool Shed Guidelines:
- Borrower may pick-up tools Monday through Friday by appointment.
- Borrower must return tools within 72 hours of checkout (some exceptions may apply).
- Borrower must clean tools and return them to the Tool Shed in the condition in which they were borrowed. Equipment/tools returned in an unclean or broken condition may result in the user not being allowed to borrow tools/equipment in the future.
- Borrower is responsible for any injury to self or damage to his/her property or the property of others occurring from the use of the Community Tool Shed equipment/tools.
- Borrower is responsible for the use of tools by others/third party.
- Borrower shall ensure power tools are only used by individuals 18 years of age or older.
- Tools that require a battery will be loaned with 1 battery and a charger.
