Contractor shall submit for approval a traffic control plan prepared by a registered civil engineer, traffic engineer, or traffic control specialist for all work within a city street or alley right of way.  Traffic control plans shall be prepared in accordance with the latest California Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).  Traffic control devices shall be in place prior to the start of work and shall be maintained in place throughout the course of the work.  Encroachment permit application is here.
