Submit Public Records Request

Requests for public records are received and processed by the City Clerk's Office. 

If you are requesting a police report, please contact (559) 684-4238.

If you are  requesting a fire incident report, please contact (559) 684-4360.

Requests for copies or inspection of building plans require additional authorization. Please read through the Request for Duplication of Building Plans document before proceeding.

For all other requests, please provide sufficient identifying information for the records you are seeking in order for City staff to conduct an accurate and thorough search. Although a written request is not required, this process helps to ensure that City staff is searching and providing exactly what you are seeking. If you would like to submit a verbal request or if you have questions, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (559) 684-4200.

Please note the following:

  • For records that are provided in physical form, a $0.10 per page fee will be collected prior to release of the records. Electronic records and inspection of records are free of charge.
  • Records that are stored in physical form are not required to be scanned and provided to you electronically. You will be charged a copy fee.
  • Certain Fire and Police Department records are covered under the fee schedule and will be charged the fee that is listed on the fee schedule, not the $0.10 per page fee.
