NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY  FOR CITY OF TULARE AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

 City of Tulare NOFA_Affordable Housing Development Project

This NOFA is being released and circulated to solicit Statements of Qualifications from qualified nonprofit and/or for-profit developers who desire to partner with the City to carry out local affordable housing, community development and land use goals. Up to $1.0 million may be available for one or more projects that meet the local goals and selection criteria outlined in this NOFA, subject to formal approval from the City. 

Five (5) hardcopy sets of Statement of Qualifications should be submitted by no later than 4:00p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020. One electronic copy should also be provided on a portable storage device or via electronic transmittal. Postmarks will not be accepted.

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) CORONAVIRUS AID, RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC SECURITY (CARES) ACT (CDBG-CV) FUNDS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has notified the City of Tulare that it will receive an allocation of $419,611 in Community Development Block Grant Funds to be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to COVID-19. This allocation was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Public Law 116-136, which was signed by President Trump on March 27, 2020, to respond to the growing effects of this historic public health crisis.
 
At this time, the City is requesting proposals from interested, tax-exempt nonprofit organizations that provide eligible CDBG services and/or projects benefiting low- and moderate-income City of Tulare homeless residents to prevent, prepare for and respond to COVID-19 for the amount of $79,611. The City of Tulare staff and City Manager will review and recommend to the Tulare City Council the public service component of the application. Tulare City Council will conduct a public hearing pertaining to all aspects of the proposed application and will adopt specific programs and funding amounts.
 
Application Availability and Deadline:

Applications must be submitted to the City of Tulare Community Development Department by 5:00pm, June 12, 2020 via email at mperez@tulare.ca.gov or mailed to 411 E. Kern Ave. Tulare, CA 93274. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline.
