DUE TO COVID-19 ALL AMENITIES AT ALL CITY PARKS ARE CLOSED. PARKS GREEN SPACES ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE BASIS.
The Tulare Parks and Recreation Department has many park facilities available to rent for many occasions. To rent a picnic shelter or ballfield, visit the Department office at 830 S. Blackstone Street, inside the Meitzenheimer Community Center. Reservation fees vary from $50 to $95 per shelter. You can also check online to see if a date is available. Del Lago Park and Mulcahy Park feature water play areas. Water splash pad hours will begin Memorial Day weekend on weekends and holidays only from 12-7pm. Daily hours begin after the last day of school. However, if mandated, hours may be modified or there is a possibility no splash pads will be turned on.
Softball tournaments are held at Prosperity Sports Park most weekends from March to mid-December.

Zumwalt Park is located at the 400 block of East Tulare Avenue. Zumwalt Park is available for special events such as Kids Day, Cars in the Park, Cinco de Mayo festivities, Spring Carnival, and many other public events. If you are interested in reserving the park for your special event, please visit the Parks and Recreation Office, 830 S. Blackstone Street, during regular business hours.
