The Tulare Parks and Recreation Department has many park facilities available to rent for many occasions. To rent a picnic shelter or ballfield, visit the Department office at 830 S. Blackstone Street, inside the Meitzenheimer Community Center. Reservation fees vary from $50 to $95 per shelter. You can also check online to see if a date is available. Del Lago Park and Mulcahy Park feature water play areas. Water splash pad hours will begin Memorial Day weekend on weekends and holidays only from 12-7pm. Daily hours begin after the last day of school. However, if mandated, hours may be modified or there is a possibility no splash pads will be turned on.
Softball tournaments are held at Prosperity Sports Park most weekends from March to mid-December.

Live Oak Park is located at the 600 block of North Laspina Street. There is one large picnic shelter and a baseball field that can be reserved. The approximate capacity of the whole picnic shelter area is 70 people, and the fee is $95 per day. You may reserve half of the picnic area that holds approximately 35 people for a fee of $60 per day. The fee to reserve the baseball field is $15 per hour. If you are interested in reserving the picnic shelter or baseball field, reservations are only accepted at the Parks and Recreation Office, 830 S. Blackstone Street, during regular business hours. No Bounce Houses are allowed at Live Oak Park.
