The regular meeting of the Planning Commission scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to the Christmas holiday. The next regularly scheduled meeting is Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

The five-member Planning Commission is responsible for considering and making decisions regarding land use, planning and zoning in accordance with the scope of city ordinances and state planning laws. A wide variety of issues are addressed including residential subdivisions, design review, zoning and environmental impact assessments and annexations. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber located at 491 North M Street, Tulare.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in public meetings.
