Former and current community Involvement: PTO member, parent volunteer within different schools throughout Tulare, Golden Apple Award recognizing teachers for their dedication to students, Parent Liaison for Tulare City Schools, TYAA Cheer Advisor, Insurance and Financial Leadership participant, March of Dimes promoter, member of The International Pemphigoid Foundation, Tulare-Kings Right to Life and active in religious and community groups.

Public Service: First elected to Tulare City Council in November 1998, and reelected in November 2002. Served as Vice Mayor from December 2000 to December 2002, and Mayor from December 2002 to December2004.

Community and Other Service/Recognitions Include:
Third generation Tularean, who has won several national auctioneering competitions and contributes those talents, as well as time, to a variety of organizations, including: Valley Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Gift of Life Foundation, Tulare County Fair, 4H and Future Farmers of America Programs, Tulare Hospital Foundation, Little League Baseball, Youth Football, Creative Center for the Handicapped, Tulare Dairy Fest, and other civic, religious, and community groups.
