Updated on 08/14/2017 4:25 PM
This project includes the reconstruction of the Cartmill Ave./SR 99 interchange with new ramp configurations and the construction of a new 6-lane overcrossing structure. The project will also realign Akers St. (Rd. 100) to achieve required intersection separation from the NB ramp intersection and accommodate future development of the NE quadrant of the interchange. The project includes the construction of three new traffic signals at the NB and SB ramps and Akers Street intersections. The project is mainly funded by Measure ‘R’ and Proposition 1B funds, in addition to some minor local contributions. Construction began in August of 2014 and is anticipated to be complete by December of 2015.
