Want to Help the Community? 

Would you like to have a part in making Tulare the most desirable community in which to live, learn, play, work, worship & prosper?  The City of Tulare is looking for local citizens with an interest in helping our community to apply to serve on one of our Boards, Committees or Commissions. 

Each of our Boards, Committees or Commissions is comprised of individuals (like you) with a passion to serve their neighbors and Tulare to make this community one of which that we can all be proud.

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 7 p.m., the City Council will consider new applications and requests for reappointment and asks that individuals with a desire to serve submit applications for consideration in this process no later than 5 p.m. on October 31 for the following:

  • Aviation Committee (2 eligible for reappointment; 1 vacancy)
  • Police Department Citizen Complaint Review Board (6 eligible for reappointment; 1 vacancy – 5 appointed by Council Seat; 2 appointed at-large)
  • Housing & Building Appeals Board (1 eligible for reappointment)
  • Library Board (2 eligible for reappointment)

Applications are available on the City’s or at the City Manager’s Office located at 411 East Kern Avenue.
